The publication sets out to cover all aspects of the hobby, not only the novice but the experienced breeder will glean information, some of which perhaps not available elsewhere. Getting To Know The Guppy: The first chapter includes the usual basics, but also an interesting section on how to name a variety. Guppy Rearing Essentials: Again the basics but also including very well explained pages on the Nitrogen Cycle. Guppy food requirements are discussed and shown in table form. Five pages are given over to Guppy diseases including clear explanations. How To Breed Guppies: Covers Set-up, Stock Management, Breeding Techniques, and Record Keeping. Guppy Showcase: Is a credit to the publishers, the Guppy Club Singapore, no less than seven quality pages of super guppies. Guppy Traits: Probably worth buying the book for this section alone. Fin Development, Common Traits, Inheritance Traits and Genectics are all explained with photographs, diagrams and text. Articles: A Visit To a Guppy Farm and A Visit To The Guppy Centre, interesting view of commercial guppy production.
